Pirjo Laurila takes over as Secretary General of FIMA - Tamlink's long-time employee Antti Sirén retires

Antti Sirén, the Secretary General of Forum for Intelligent Machines ry (FIMA), retires deservedly from the beginning of June.
Siren has accomplished a long career, first at Hermia, later at New Factory and later at Tamlink. Sirén was recruited in 2006 as the Secretary General of FIMA. For more than 18 years, he has developed and coordinated FIMA's activities with success and distinction.
Pirjo Laurila has replaced Sirén as FIMA's new Secretary General on 1 May. Laurila's earlier experience, strong skills and expertise made her the perfect choice for the job.
Laurila has worked at AGCO Power in international positions of responsibility and management, as well as product development manager and research coordinator at Kiilto Oy. In addition, Laurila has a strong research background. She worked for ten years as a researcher at Tampere University of Technology. Laurila holds a PhD in Materials Science.
