Tamlink has been coordinating both the SIX Mobile Work Machines cluster and FIMA for several years now. The merge is an impressive step towards realizing the industry's national growth strategy: tripling turnover, doubling employment, and international thought leadership.
The SIX Mobile Work Machines cluster and the FIMA Forum of Intelligent Machines, which have been successfully promoting the mobile work machine sector in Finland for a long time, have decided to join forces from the beginning of 2026. This strong, industry-driven cluster will continue the practical work of both consortiums at an even greater pace under the name SIX Mobile Work Machines.
By combining the strength of the two groups, the renewed cluster is well-positioned to implement the Finland's National Mobile Machine Growth Strategy 2035Â published in August 2025. The three main goals of the strategy are to triple the turnover of the mobile work machine industry to 60 billion euros by 2035, double employment in the industry and create up to 45,000 new jobs in the sector, and make Finland a global thought leader in the industry.
The role of the cluster in implementing the growth strategy is written into the strategy itself. The strategy identifies 30 initiatives, 20 of which are addressed to industry – companies and associations. Overall responsibility for enabling and implementing these 20 initiatives lies with the SIX MWM cluster in the strategy.
